Mastroianni and the Agawam Police Department are expected to issue a joint statement Thursday regarding the shooting of an Elizabeth Manor woman early Saturday by an Agawam police officer.
Two officers who responded to a 911 call at the complex were placed on administrative leave immediately following the shooting, which Mastroianni characterized as accidental.
