There's plenty of blame to go around for this loss.
The Patriots just lost to the Seattle Seahawks in crushing fashion, 24-23.
The execution was horrible and the coaching was curious. The Patriots paid for it and now have the same record as the Miami Dolphins after six games.
There’s so much to talk about in this one and plenty of blame to go around.
Take your pick:
--Bill Belichick’s call to go for it at the end of the first half and Tom Brady’s intentional grounding penalty that took points off the board.
-- Brady’s general ineffectiveness down the stretch and touchdown in the end zone?
-- The timeout the Patriots had to burn late in the fourth quarter because they had 12 men on the field.
-- The secondary's inability to cover anyone deep.
-- More specifically, Kyle Arrington getting burned repeatedly.
-- The bogus defensive pass interference/uncalled offensive pass interference penalty on Braylon Edward’s touchdown that put Seattle in striking distance.
Any and all of those things are to blame. We’ll be back in a little bit to discuss all these issues and more throughout the night.
