Polls close at noon on Wednesday, and your vote could decide some very tight races!
Have you exercised your right as a citizen of the MassLive.com Community and voted in Round 2 of the 2011 Valley Food Championship Pizza Playoffs?
If you have, we commend your patriotism. If you haven't, you don't have much time.
Round 2 voting, in which we pare the field from 32 to 16 of your favorite pizza shops in the Valley, ends Wednesday at noon – and with just a few hours to go, some matchups are neck-and-neck, the two pizza shops separated by as little as 2 percentage points ... and in one matchup, only 7 votes separated the two shops!
In each region, you can vote in each of the four matchups. The four winners in each region will advance to Round 3.
In Round 3, you will select the all-important Elite 8. Then, judges from The Republican's newsroom – arts and entertainment editor Ray Kelly, sports reporter Pam McCray and photographer Don Treeger – will visit each surviving pizza shop and proclaim the 2011 Valley Food Championship Pizza.

Remember, Round 2 polls close at noon. Thirty-two Valley pizza shops are counting on you to push them into the next round.
We'll reveal the winners of Round 2 shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Round 3 voting begins Thursday.
