Barney Buscemi, 93, of Agawam died on his birthday, Sunday June 12. Barney was born in Longmeadow and attended Enfield High School. At the age of 17, he began traveling across the country as a musician with "Big Band" era bandleaders. He did this until 1947. Barney continued his career in music while working as a car salesman. He retired in 1981. Barney moved from Longmeadow to Agawam in 1979 and also had a home in Port Orange, Fla., where he spent the winter months with his wife, Ora.
