BOSTON - The 12-member jury in the corruption trial of former Massachusetts House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi and two codefendants deliberated for about five hours Tuesday without reaching a verdict.
The jury informed Judge Mark L. Wolf just before 4:30 p.m. that it is prepared to continue on Wednesday morning at 9.
The jurors deliberated for about two hours Monday and started its day on Tuesday by requesting that the judge re-read his instructions.
DiMasi and codefendants Richard Vitale and Richard McDonough, along with members of their families, joined together for lunch in the Moakley Courthouse cafeteria Tuesday, awaiting a potential verdict.
