On average, the manufacturers surveyed expect their workforce to grow by 3 percent to 6 percent over the next five years. Thirty percent of the manufacturers said they plan to hire full-time employees, 6 percent plan to hire part-time workers, and 13 percent plan to hire temporary workers by the end of the year.
