Developing: Springfield fire and police respond to burning vehicle in Blunt Park

No word yet on what caused the vehicle fire, or if anyone was hurt. Arson investigators were called to investigate the 6 a.m. Saturday blaze.

There were no reported injuries because the homeowners were reportedly staying at a hotel at the time of the fire. The house is located in a neighborhood that was hit hard by Wednesday's hurricane.

SPRINGFIELD -- City fire and police personnel were at the scene of a car fire in Blunt Park that was reported shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday.

No word yet on what caused the fire or if anyone was injured, but an ambulance was dispatched to the park. Arson investigators also were summoned to the scene.

Public safety officials said the car was fully engulfed with flames.
