Colon said instead of running for office, he'll try to help the city as a new member of the Holyoke Public Library board of directors.
HOLYOKE – His name is still on the list of city election candidates at City Hall, but Antonio Colon Jr. said Friday he isn’t running for office.
Colon, of 81 Tokeneke Road, took out nomination papers weeks ago as he considered bids for mayor, for which he ran unsuccessfully two years ago, and City Council at large.
But Colon said that instead of running for office, he will try to help the city as a new member of the board of directors of the Holyoke Public Library.
